YSA (Youth Social Action) Young Volunteers –
The young people involved in this project hold 2 events each year, an example of this was a 1950’s tea dance for young people living with dementia and their families. They always need extra hands or if this sounds like a project you would like to get involved with get in touch. The group meets every other Friday during term time and every Friday during school holidays. Days can change depending on availability of the young volunteers, but we try to stick to Fridays. We are also looking for young volunteers for this project aged between 13 and 18.

SYEP FC –
We currently have a 7 a side boys’ team playing in the Norfolk Christian League (you do not have to be Christian to play in this league). Although we currently have a manager, he is on placement which will end in 2019. Towards the end of his placement his involvement will become less, so looking for someone who would be interested working with him and eventually taking his place.
Do you feel you could add value to our project by becoming a trustee?? You will have to attend bi monthly meetings and sign a trustee declaration. Please visit the Charity Commissions website for more information about the roles and responsibilities of a trustee.

We will be looking for part time volunteer counsellors to support our 121 work in 2018. If your looking for a placement for a course or need experience working with this age group please get in touch.
Broadening our services –
We are in the process of developing a three year business plan and aim to be proving a full time service for young people and also have goals beyond this. If you feel you can help or benefit this process please get in touch.
For more information on all our individual projects please visit their pages.
All our volunteers are given bimonthly 121 support. You will also have to attend a volunteer meeting 3 times a year. We also provided an induction and have a buddy system when they first start for extra support.
We are members of Momentum and all our volunteers have access to the training they provide. All volunteers have to complete an Introduction To Youth Work and Safer Training. There is lots of other training you can access via Momentum Norfolk (www.momentumnorfolk.org.uk). If you commit to the project and would like to access further qualifications this is something we can look into and support in anyway we can from accessing funding to providing references etc…
